World Book day!

In Year 3, we had lots of fun making breakfast bars for the three bears to replace the horrible celery smoothies that Goldi left.  Afterwards, we wrote instructions to send to Goldi so she knows how to make them!

    Would you like to make some tasty bear treats? If you would, follow these easy instructions.

    You will need

    * 250g of oats
    * 125g of butter
    * 125 of dark brown sugar
    * 5 tbls of golden syrup
    * A wooden spoon
    * A baking tray
    * A microwave
    * A metal spoon for mixing.

    What you do:
    First, you put the empty mixing bowl on the scales and weigh 250g of oats.
    Then, add 125g of dark brown sugar,5 tbls of golden syrup and mix it all together.
    Next, melt the butter in the microwave for 1 minute and add it to the oats and mix it all together with a metal spoon.
    Last of all, use your hands to squish it in to cookie shapes on your baking tray and bake in the oven for 15 – 20 minutes.
    When they are cool, you can eat them.

    Would you like to try and make our tasty bear treats? If yes, follow these instructions.

    You will need:
    * 250 grams of oats,
    * 125 grams of brown sugar
    * 5 tbls spoons of golden syrup
    * 125g butter
    * A mixing bowl
    * A wooden spoon
    * A metal spoon for mixing
    * Weighing scales

    What you do:
    * First, you place the mixing bowl on the weighing scales and add 250g of oats.
    * Next, you add 125g of dark brown sugar to the bowl and mix it together.
    * Now add 5 tablespoons of golden syrup to the bowl and mix again.
    * Then, melt your butter in the microwave for 1 minute until fully melted and then add to the oats and mix with your metal spoon.
    * Last of all, form the mixture into 6 bar shapes on the baking tray and bake in the oven for 15 – 20 minutes at 180
    * You can only eat them when cool
